August 25th between 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

August 26th between 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm

September 15th between 5:30pm-7:30pm

Tickets are needed for the dinner at 5:00pm

ESC skaters are free and 1 (one) free adult ticket per family.

You may purchase additional tickets if needed:

Adults $10

Children $5

It's hard to believe the season is almost to an end!  Now it's time to celebrate all the great accomplishments and hard work YOUR skater has accomplished!

**We have changed things around this year!  Tickets will only be available at the dates and times listed below.  We are not handing out tickets for members to sell to their families.  You may pick up ALL your tickets here:

Carnival & Banquet Tickets are now available for purchase on the following dates:

Tuesday Feb 4 ~ 3:30pm-5:30pm 

Thursday Feb 5 ~ 3:30pm-6:00pm

Monday Feb 9 ~ 3:30pm-6:00pm

Tuesday Feb 10 ~ 3:30pm-5:30pm (last chance for banquet tickets)

Thursday Feb 19 ~ 3:30pm-6:00pm (banquet tickets not available on this date)

Tickets are only needed for dinner (you need a ticket to eat) !  ALL ESC members are welcome and encouraged to attend the banquet.

The year end banquet is a great time for the skaters to hang out and receive their report cards/badges/medals.  It's a great event to recognize all their hard work in the 5 months!

Interclub Competition Update

On January 16, 17 and 18th Espanola Skating Club members attended the annual Rainbow Region Interclub competition at the Tom Davies Community Centre in Lively ON.

Over the past few years Sport Canada and Skate Canada have put more emphasis on skill development and less on competition and so many events this year were purely for evaluation of a skaters skills and not for placing.

The following skaters took place in evaluation events:

Josee Lefebvre, Adrian Carney, Gabriella Melcher, Lauren Langlois, Maggie Sanders, Amelia Noble, Cassidy Galliott, and Abigail Kuula.

Christen Ramsay finished 2nd , Chloe Mokohonuk finished 4th, Alexandra Langlois finished 3rd, Grace Selinger finished 5th, Andrea Mitroff finished 1st and Jenna Bourcier finished 2nd in different flight of the Star 4 event.

In a new event offered this year, Chloe Mokohonuk finished 1st, Abigail Kuula finished 2nd and Maggie Sanders finished 3rd in different flights of the Creative event where skaters have the opportunity to hear their music a total of 3 times then are placed in the change room behind closed doors until it is their time to perform at which time they use their creativity and interpret the music selected for them.

Skaters are now preparing for the annual ESC Carnival "Beauty In The World" scheduled for Feb 22 at the Espanola Refgional Recreation Complex as well as the Make It A Date competition in North Bay Feb 27-19 and Island Skate CompetitionMar 26-28.

Please take note that the February 2015 calendar has some changes to it.  With the ESC Carnival only a month away it is imperative that everyone shows up for their carnival practices.

Annual Skating Carnival

"Beauty in the World"

If you are new to the Espanola Skating Club, our annual end of season Carnival Show proves to be the highlight of the year for both skaters and families. Although Carnival is a month away our coaches and ESC executives are already starting to prepare and organize for the event.

This event takes a lot of planning, organizing and VOLUNTEERS, to make it successful. 

Volunteers are a necessary requirement in order for our club to have a successful carnival.  

Help is needed with ticket sales, decorations, costumes, group leaders, and more!!!
